Support Scouting
The GMW Network aims to support leaders of all Sections who are of Network age to continue their own personal development.
The GMW Network will also aim to provide support to the County or its Districts on request.
Provide an Active programme
Please see the "Future Events" pages for details of forthcoming attractions.
The aim of the GMW Network is to provide a varied and regular programme of indoor and outdoor activities to cater for a diverse range of members.
We understand that there are at least 2 groups of people:
- Those who enjoy waking up at 6:30am to walk for 12 miles in the rain, wind and snow. Just for fun.
- Those who enjoy lying in, keeping warm, and relaxing.
For example, the Network may arrange a hike that finishes in a pub.
If you're in Group 1, you can get up early, slog through the wind and rain, then (a) go home, (b) go to the pub, or (c) walk back the way you've just come.
Group 2 may prefer a trip to the pub, with the opportunity to work up an appetite if you're in an energetic mood.
